01. Becoming The Understanding of The Shaikh - by being pulled into the Shaikh
"Spiritual Books" represents another attempt by the Children of His Holiness to join in partnership with His Holiness, to become the understanding of the Father, Shaikh Muhammad Rahim Bawa Muhaiyaddeen (may God be pleased with Him), and to share that understanding, to share the understanding of some of the books provided by His Holiness, to share the understanding that is growing within the hearts of His Children.
The understanding of each of these books reflects the state of the Children of His Holiness, reflects how deeply the Children have been pulled by His Holiness into Himself, causing His Children to more and more reflect the understanding of His Holiness rather than their own.
His Holiness explains this beautifully in the book, "Shaikh and Disciple", and as the "Quote of the Month" for the Bawa Muhaiyaddeen Fellowship Calendar for February, 1998, when He teaches us,
"The Shaikh has to continually test the child. He must test every quality of the
child, prodding him to see his reaction. In each word and in every action, the Shaikh pricks the child to see how he will react. "If the reaction is good, then the Shaikh will take that child deeper into Himself,saying, 'This child will turn our right.'"02. The "First Step" On The Path of God - the dawning of the understanding of God
This is the first step on the path of God, finding a True Man among the Creation of God and understanding Him by becoming one with Him, moving from our own understanding into the One understanding, which is the understanding of God, or the Nur Muhammad.
For as His Holiness teaches in the "Introduction" to the book, Shaikh And Disciple, page 5, this is the most difficult task of our life,
"At this point I realized that the most difficult task in life is to find a true man
among the created beings." "To find a true human being and to understand him is very difficult indeed. Only after realizing the true man and God within myself could I perform true meditation. I had to understand the cage of this body.""Outer acts are not real. I had to find the place within to perform true meditation." 03. In this way, the Nur Muhammad is the light of wisdom within each of us, the body of the soul, that was placed on the forehead of Adam (may the blessings of God be upon Him), when God personally created Adam (may the blessings of God be upon Him) from the 5 elements joined in unity through the Kalimah of God, through the gift of God to His Creation, in order to bring them to the state of Unity or tawhid, through the remembrance of God, through the affirmation of the Unity of God, which is the principal tenet of Islam.
My dearest loving brothers and sisters, may we all move from "our" understanding into the "One understanding" of God by becoming"One with" the gift of tawhid for this age, the gift of the life and teaching of His Holiness, our Father, Shaikh Muhammad Rahim Bawa Muhaiyaddeen (may God be pleased with Him), and of His Children (may God be pleased with each of Us). Amen.

This “New Web Site” Called “Spiritual Books” Currently Consists of “An Online Copy” of “12 Bawa Books”, That Is, of “12 Books” From “The Life and Teaching” of Our Dearest Loving Father Bawa Muhaiyaddeen (may God be pleased with Him, and with Us), 2 of Which Are Complete On-line Copies From “The Bawa Muhaiyaddeen Fellowship Web Site” (www.bmf.org), Called “Islam and World Peace; Explanations of A Sufi”, and “A Book of God’s Love”, 1 of Which Is Also A Complete On-line Copy From “The Serendib Sufi Study Circle” Web Site (www.sufistudycircle.org), Called “The Pearl of Wisdom” or “Guru Mani”, And 9 of Which Are Partial Copies From “The Bawa Muhaiyaddeen On-line Library” (www.Bawa.homestead.com) Presented As “Wisdom Study Material” For “The So Inclined”, With Comments And Insights About The Material From The Heart of This Child, if you like, and that is for sure. Ok?)
This “New Web Site” Called “Spiritual Books” was written and published by this child over the last 10 years, as part of “The Bawa Muhaiyaddeen Library" [our 1st Library], but is now being updated to reflect “The Layout” of “Our New Web Site” Called "The Shaikh Muhammad Rahim Bawa Muhaiyaddeen Library" [our 2nd Library], but we left “The Text” alone, that is, as it was originally written by this child, sitting as one of “The Children of Bawa Muhaiyaddeen (Ral.)” on “the lap” of Bawa Muhaiyaddeen (Ral.), and that is for sure, which provides a beautiful “snap shot” of “The Life and Teaching”, and of “The Heart” of “The Children of Bawa Muhaiyaddeen (Ral.)”, at that time, and that is for sure. Amen).
